All of you is welcome

The Return Home

We are all born with a longing to return home: to a place where we belong without question, where we are loved without condition, where we can rest, completely held and safe.

Somewhere within us lives the memory of our first home, the womb. Not only our mother’s, but the Great Mother’s, from whose ovaries all life is born. Though we may have forgotten, something in us remembers. And so we begin to build.

Within every heart burns a hearth, a quiet flame reaching for the world. My work is to listen to that flame, to hear what is alive within you, and help give it a place to land and grow.

Through the language of earth, I shape spaces that breathe with the world around them: curving with the body, rooted in the soil, alive with the rhythms of nature. Slowly a dwelling emerges. Not simply a structure, but a living sanctuary, a mythic creature. A second skin and a guardian, an extension of the earth and an expression of your spirit, holding not only who you are, but who you are becoming.

Our true whol(m)e was never lost.
We are remembering where we came from.

Homes that grow from the land

There is a difference between beauty and art. Beauty doesn’t try to be different. It opens itself to the world, evolves, and cares for everything around it.

To me, everything holds beauty: every branch, every stone. My work as a builder is to shape each one so the magnificence already within it can be seen more clearly. This is my hope for people, too.

True art is less about what I create, and more about what I see.

Meet the builder

Corwin

I am a servant to the greater whole, a student of harmony, balance, and the living intelligence woven through all creation.

My devotion to living art has been shaped by years of wandering, learning, and listening: travels through Europe and India, the study of ecological architecture in college, and the wisdom of teachers like Ra the Cave Digger, SunRay Kelly, and Tibetan lamas who taught me to create art that heals and transforms all who step inside.

Since then, my work has appeared on A&E’s Living Smaller, on the series Living Big in a Tiny House, and in the book of the same name. I have been trusted to lead large projects, and I have written a book, The Journey Home, which explores how to lift the building industry out of patriarchy.

My life has become an exploration of what it means to live in partnership with nature. Everything I create carries a prayer for the well-being of life. True mastery is not found in the finished work, but in the presence, relationship, and discovery cultivated along the way.

A building is not a style. It is a living conversation between people, place, and spirit, and it is never truly finished. It keeps growing, taking part in the life around it. Construction, at its deepest, is an act of listening: a communication and communion with the forces of creation.

My work is an offering to this unfolding: beauty that belongs to the earth, honors the human spirit, and awakens the wild vitality within us.

Structures that connect

Every structure I build is a bridge: between people, and between people and the earth. Fostering right relationship asks for two kinds of design, woven together.

The physical structures

Designing the village

Homes, gathering halls, paths and gardens laid out so the land itself draws people together. Natural materials, shared spaces and buildings that grow from the place they stand.

  • Village site planning
  • Homes & gathering spaces
  • Natural building
  • Land & water design

The invisible structures

Designing how people relate

Written agreements, contracts and community designs that shape how people live, decide and care for one another. Clear structures that make trust and harmony possible.

  • Community agreements
  • Governance & decision-making
  • Contracts & land stewardship
  • Conflict & care practices
When I weave the two together, harmony returns to the land, and new civilizations can grow around the heart.

The Journey Home

Through poems, a fable of a lost king, and a builder’s own wandering story, this book teaches how to raise a home from earth, straw, timber, and stone, weaving practical patterns of walls that breathe, fractals, circles, and the golden ratio together with the science of living systems, light, and the body, so that the house, the builder, and the land grow alive as one.
